Hello, my dear friends,

It’s Mrs. Claus here, writing from my warm kitchen at the North Pole. The oven is glowing, the elves are humming carols, and the scent of gingerbread fills the air. Today, I thought I’d share a secret with you. Do you know Santa’s favorite cookie?

Now, between us, Santa will never turn down a cookie. Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and ginger snaps all make him smile. However, the very first cookie he reaches for after Christmas Eve is my classic Christmas gingerbread. Soft in the middle, gently spiced, and decorated with a cheerful smile, these cookies remind him of the love families put into every Christmas Eve plate.

The elves help me bake hundreds of trays every December. Of course, they sneak gumdrops and sprinkles whenever they can. And don’t get me started on Dasher. That reindeer is more interested in frosting than carrots these days!

While I can’t give away the entire recipe, I will tell you the most important ingredients. Love, kindness, and a pinch of cinnamon make all the difference. That’s why no two cookies ever taste quite the same. Every family adds its own special sparkle.

So when you’re baking cookies this Christmas, remember: it’s not just about how they taste. It’s about the joy you mix into every batch and the smiles you share when you pass them around. That, my dears, is the real secret ingredient.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I hear the timer dinging — and that means another batch of Santa’s favorite gingerbread cookies is ready to come out of the oven!

With love and cinnamon,
Mrs. Claus
