Keeping the Magic Alive: The Tradition of Letters from Santa
By Santa Claus, Master Head Elf & Deliverer of Toys
Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas, my dear friend,
The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and I just had to take a moment to write to you. You see, every year I receive so many letters from children all over the world. I read each one carefully, and they always fill my heart with joy.
But do you know what’s just as magical? When I get to send a letter to you.
When you see your name on an envelope from the North Pole, you can be sure something very special is waiting inside. Inside, you’ll find a message from me—your Santa Claus—telling you how proud I am of you, how much joy you bring to the world, and how very loved you are. That moment is pure Christmas magic, and it’s one of my favorite parts of the season.
A letter from me is also a little reminder of how real the magic of Christmas truly is.
From the sparkle in the snow to the jingling of the reindeer bells, it’s all part of the wonder that makes this time of year so special. And the very best part is knowing that you believe—because that belief helps the magic shine even brighter.
Sometimes, along with my letter, I may tuck in a small gift or keepsake from the North Pole. It’s not the size of the gift that matters, but the thought and the love that travel with it all the way from my workshop to your home.
And I’ll tell you a little secret—when you open your letter, the magic isn’t just for you.
Your family feels it too, seeing your eyes light up and your smile grow as you read my words. Those moments warm hearts in a way only Christmas can.
So, my dear friend, I hope you know how much you mean to me. You are a very special part of my nice list, and I’m so excited for all the joy this Christmas will bring. Keep being kind, keep spreading cheer, and keep believing—because I’ll always be watching over you from the North Pole, ready to visit on Christmas Eve.
With love, candy canes, and Christmas magic,
Santa Claus
