A Note from the Editor

Greetings from the newsroom! Here at The North Pole Times, your privacy matters more to us than Mrs. Claus’s cookie recipes. This page explains what kind of information we collect (very little!), how we use it (with great care), and how we keep our readers — especially young believers — safe and sound.

1. Who We Are

The North Pole Times is a family-friendly storytelling website that shares cheerful holiday news straight from Santa’s world. We do not sell products on this website, request personal details, or collect children’s information. Our only goal is to spread Christmas cheer!

2. Information We Collect

Right now, we collect very limited information — mainly what any normal website gathers automatically, such as:

  • Basic, non-identifying visitor data (like browser type or general location)
  • Anonymous statistics that help us see which stories are most popular

We do not ask for names, ages, emails, or home addresses from our readers.

3. Cookies and Tracking

Our cookie jar is mostly empty!
If The North Pole Times uses small “cookies,” they’re just to keep the site running smoothly — for example, remembering your language preference or helping pages load faster. We don’t use them to track or target anyone for ads.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Everything will still sparkle just fine.

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We take children’s privacy as seriously as Santa’s Naughty-and-Nice list.
The North Pole Times does not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes their child may have shared any details, please contact us right away so we can safely remove it.

5. Links to Other Sites

Sometimes, our stories may mention other Christmas-themed sites or friends of Santa. Once you leave The North Pole Times, we can’t control how those websites handle data. We always encourage families to read each site’s own privacy policy before exploring.

6. Security of Information

Our elves use the latest magical encryption spells (and some regular internet tools) to keep everything safe. While no website can promise 100 % security, we do everything we can to protect our readers’ privacy.

7. Updates to This Policy

If we ever start collecting emails for Santa’s newsletter or expand our North Pole offerings, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain exactly what’s changing — clearly and in plain English (and a little elfish sparkle).

8. Contact the Editor

Questions? Concerns? A note from a parent or guardian?
You can reach our editorial elves at:
baysidechristmasco@gmail.com or shoot us a message from the contact page.

We’re always happy to help — especially when it comes to keeping the Christmas spirit merry and safe.

End of Policy
The North Pole Times – Spreading cheer, protecting privacy, and jingling responsibly since 2019.
